so, there's a tornado happening right now. atleast, that's what i've heard. it kind of just feels like a basic thundering rainstorm. either way, my power went out, so i guess i'm not editing any footage tonight, which is fine. i didn't want to do it anyway.
now i'm listening to music and reading the catcher in the rye which i've never read before. my friend actually lended me this book months ago and i had only read up to chapter 3 by the time he asked me how i was doing. i told him i'd read more than i actually did, so if you're reading this buddy, sorry. it takes me forever to read, or even get into anything. i'm more of a fan of consuming the same content over and over again. it's not that i don't wanna see new things, i just don't very much care to try.
it's actually a pretty good book but who knows, i'm only on chapter 5 now. but i get the appeal. my friend said i'd find the main character relatable and sadly, i do. is that another red flag? either way, i'm enjoying it. it's more fun to read with a new york accent since that's just how they talk anyway. it makes me miss the city. i wanna read pretentious books on trains listening to pretentious music. it's hard to romanticize life in suburbia where everybody does the same two things. i may like watching the same program over and over but i Hate being in the same place. the only thing people do here is go to the mall and on mainstreet. malls and mainstreet. the mall isn't even that great either. maybe i'm just a spoiled city kid but whatever. i was broke too and the malls still were better.
y'know, it's funny that a few years ago i was begging to live in a place like this and now here i am, whining about this too.
you can take the rat out of the city but you can't take the city out of the rat. i'll pick-pocket your ass and you won't even know until you go to pay for some chips or something and all your shit's gone out of your jeans.
